This project involved creating an animated on-screen communication for a large-format digital display outside the Swedish Restaurant at IKEA Reading. The work adapted a static national campaign asset into motion to improve visibility, clarity, and customer engagement in a high-traffic retail environment.
Working with the Food Manager, I identified key messaging priorities for the local store and redesigned the supplied A4 campaign artwork from IKEA UK’s Service Office to suit a large digital format. Using Adobe After Effects, I animated key elements and optimised layout hierarchy and pacing for clear on-screen viewing, ensuring the content remained legible from a distance while maintaining the original campaign’s colour palette and visual style.
Displayed on a prominent floor-to-ceiling screen visible from the main walkway and café, the final animation increased attention to the campaign offer and helped drive engagement with the Swedish Restaurant.
