Social Media Design System & Content Strategy

Challenge:
Develop a scalable content system that could communicate experiences of cycling with Type 1 diabetes in a clear, accessible, and visually consistent way while supporting regular content creation across Instagram.
Responsibilities:
Led the development of a social-first visual system, defining content structures, reusable templates, and visual guidelines to support efficient content creation. Planned and produced photography, video, and graphic assets while refining the system to balance accessibility, audience engagement, and long-term scalability.
Cycling with Holly T1D explores how design system principles can be applied within a social media environment to improve consistency, efficiency, and communication. Designed as a personal content platform, the project focused on creating a mobile-first visual framework capable of supporting a range of educational and lifestyle-led content related to cycling and Type 1 diabetes. I developed a suite of reusable components including carousel layouts, reel covers, story templates, highlight icons, and profile structures, creating a cohesive system that could evolve alongside the content. Combined with original photography and video production, the project demonstrates how structured design thinking can be used to create scalable, accessible, and engaging content experiences within a fast-moving digital platform.
